I mean, I like to sleep and lay around, but COME ON! This is not easy folks!

As of Thursday, I have officially been put on doctor prescribed bed rest. Our baby girl is needing her Mama to lay around and give her the best chance to grow big and strong. And yes, I have been trying to behave.

However, it is really hard to turn off the 'super mommy' mentality and instantly turn into an dependant couch potato. Especially with Christmas just around the corner....and with a (nearly) 2 year old running around. And I DO mean running. Not to mention the ever increasing to-do list that we all have in our head...Christmas cards, dishes, Bubbalu 2yr birthday party, Christmas shopping, laundry, prepare nursery, feed toddler, laundry, wrap Christmas gifts, finish baby quilt, etc. You get the point.

Let's just say I don't like losing control.

Let's also just say I don't like to depend on others.

Let's continue in saying that maybe God is trying to teach me some patience?

Will keep you updated...

  1. You are so much like me, I would feel the same way (and did, lol). I'll be praying that baby girl grows fast and healthy and that these next few weeks will fly by for you. Before you know it, you will be looking into that sweet angel's face wondering what life was ever like without her. I'm sending you hugs via internet, but will give the real thing in person!!! :)

  2. Oh, no! I'm so sorry you were put on bedrest. I remember this time last year, I was a few days away from having Mia and I was running like a chicken with my head cut off. Trying to get all that pre-baby, pre-Christmas stuff done. Two words for you: Online Shopping. It will keep you sane while you lay on your back and help you keep from freaking out about not being able to get the shopping done.

Take it easy and take care of that sweet little girl.

  3. Perusing the blogging world and came across your blog! Hello! I do pray you get plenty of is WELL worth it! Get lots of books!! Books for you and kiddo! I pray all goes well. I see..49 days to go! wow!! :) God bless you and your family!

  4. That sounds like an L&D nurse for sure. I would not have done well on bedrest, miraculously with the triplets I never had bedrest....go figure.

just curious why the bedrest PTL or PIH?

  5. Don't you worry oh sister of mine, we'll do as much as we can for you here... at least you're near family now! :) Love ya, and I'll see you Friday for babysitting duty (if not earlier).

  6. So sorry friend. Keep you in my prayers. Go and rent some fun movies you haven't seen and enjoy the time to veg before baby girl gets home and you have two to run after!

  7. Bless your heart. I think as much as I complain that I just want to lay around, mandatory bedrest would drive me nuts!

    I'll be praying for you!

  8. Am just now catching up to the news. So sorry to hear that. And I can truly say I feel your pain. Hang in there, girlie. You can do it. Do lots of blogging so one day that little baby you're cooking will know just how much mama SUFFERED for her good.

C'mon, let's chat a bit...
