My husband and I had a great, Christmasy time wrapping all the kiddos Christmas (and birthday) presents yesterday afternoon. We listened to Christmas music and talked about how the kids would love their presents.
We had a strict talk with Bubbalu about the presents needing to stay under the tree and that they were strictly off limits.
I'm just SO glad he has recently developed into a reasonable, understanding and rule-following child:
It will be a miracle if the presents remain intact until the 25th. I'll keep you posted...

We made the mistake of putting our presents under the tree a bit too early too. We thought it would be great to see gifts under the tree...our kids had a different idea. "Let's unwrap them and blame it on the babies" was their thought!
ReplyDeleteThey now all sit in my sewing studio in a giant box! :o(

Awwwww....I try to take these moments and laugh at them. I her my mom in my head saying "just wait until you have kids"..lol.
ReplyDeleteBecause we won't be home for Christmas, we are opening our gifts the evening of Dec. 20th. Guess when we will be wrapping our gifts? 3:00 p.m. Dec. 20.
ReplyDeleteHaha! I completely understand where you're coming from! my little one discovered a present under the tree this morning (it's been there for a week), and decided she simply MUST know what was inside...could we get away with all sorts of shenanigans if we were as cute as our kids?
ReplyDeleteHere I am beating myself up for not having wrapped a single gift yet. Thanks for reminding me not to be in too much of a hurry!
ReplyDeleteI have never commented on your blog, but I have read it for quite some time (long enough that I don't remember how I stumbled across it). Anyway, I'm thinking that if the presents actually remained under the tree and intact, life would just be boring.
