Hoot Hoot

We had a lovely new friend come into our lives last week. I think he is here for good. Jude and Hoot Hoot hit it off rather nicely. Jude decided to teach Hoot Hoot some things about life.

First Hoot Hoot learned to sit and watch TV...

next Jude taught him to play hide and seek...

then how to stand on his head...

and to ride his bike.

Then it was time for lunch...

after which Hoot Hoot caught up on his blog while Jude napped.

Hoot Hoot was also kind enough to help Mama, as
she can be neglectful about her ironing.

Hoot Hoot then decided to show Jude
a thing or to about (ahem) some personal matters.
I'm not sure Jude caught on.

Then Hoot Hoot brushed and flossed his teeth
to impress Jude's Daddy.

Hoot Hoot went to bed early that night. After all,
it had been a busy day learning all those things.
I'm not sure how well he slept though, he seemed
to have his eyes open every time I checked on him...

Stroller Etiquette

Ok, I do admit I have a rather large-ish baby stroller. And yes, it is an SUV type stroller designed for long distance running and comfort for the baby. I LOVE it and am happy with my purchase.

Curious which one we have?

Isn't it a beaut?

Well, we went out to dinner last night and the seating hostess said, "you can't take that with you, you'll have to leave it in the front". Being that this restaurant entrance is a busy mall walkway, I balked. I said that no, I didn't want to because it was expensive and could fold up nicely and fit on a booth chair or under an unused chair (big booths and 6 seater tables abounded in this place), being that it was only 2 adults and an infant high chair. She insisted that there just was not room. I held my ground, and we were brought to a back booth with ample space for our stroller and a high chair for the little one.

What was the big fuss? It was a Thursday evening, not Friday, Saturday, or a big go out for dinner holiday like Valentine's Day. Am I just a paranoid small-town gal living in the big scary city or is my concern valid?

Run And Tell That....

Ok, I just got this new CD. I can't stop listening to it! It makes me dance and smile :)

I'm just a leetle embarrassed that it's the Hairspray soundtrack. :) Oh yes, I can't stop myself from a good musical. My loving husband gave me the DVD for Christmas and I LUV it! He even WATCHED it with me...That's true love folks!

I am going to instill musical fondness in my children from the get-go. 'Cause they have no choice really. If I'm driving, I'm listening to my musicals :)

My brother-in-law thinks the IDEA of Hairspray the musical/movie/soundtrack is completely stupid. Too bad his other half agrees with me. He might think it's stupid because he walked in our front door and caught me dancing with my son to Run and Tell That while singing into my soup ladle.......maybe.

How can a song be soup ladle worthy? Check it out, let me know what YOU think...

Oh yes, that Elijah Kelley can SANG! Not too bad on the eyes either...

And no, I haven't watched High School Musical, I'm not sure I'm ready for that next level of obsession...
